As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I believe each human being to be an individual with the instinctive capacity to grow, learn, heal and become fulfilled in any way they choose. The humanistic approach treats the client, their experiences and emotions as a whole, rather than looking specifically at one particular behaviour or feeling. It also fundamentally respects each individual as a unique identity.
The Integrative part of my title explains how I have been trained in a number of different models or approaches of therapy which I then use to create a bespoke tailor made method for each client. Some of these models include, Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Systemic and Psychodynamic styles.
Therapy aims to enable clients to deepen their understanding of themselves and their lives, to tackle hurdles, long term problems and to fully take control of their lives. It gives people the ability to choose to live in a different way and move forward in the best way for them.
Whilst therapy can be challenging, it can also be a hugely rewarding and life changing experience. As such, I work in a warm, honest and engaging way, respecting my client and building a non judgmental and rewarding relationship, to help give clients’ the space and time to think about life, in the way they need to.
Therapy sessions last 50 minutes, normally weekly and are conducted from my private, comfortable and peaceful therapy room in Stroud Green, N4.
My charge per session is day £50/eve £60. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
I have a limited number of places at a reduced cost.
